Macbeth Novel Analysis Essay Example For Students

Macbeth Novel Analysis Essay Everyone who is mortal has at least one flaw. Some are more serious than others. For example, some people have addictions to gambling, while other people cantremember to put the milk away after they use it. After a while though, apersons flaws come back to haunt them. The tragedy MacBeth is no exception tothis. In it, many of the characters die. And the reason is that they have aflaw, that would eventually lead to their downfall. Not every character isdeserving of his fate though. Some characters have a minor flaw, which shouldntlead to their death. But others have a major flaw, which is would eventuallylead them to their death anyway. The first Thane of Cawdor, is killed by MacBethfor trying to lead a revolution against England. His fatal flaw was that he wasaccording to Ross, a disloyal traitor. The thane of Cawdor wasgreedy, and wanted the throne of England for himself, and as a result wasmurdered. But his murder wasnt really disheartening, because the Thane ofCawdor, deserved his fate. He was leading a battle, in which many lost theirlives, for the sake of gr eed, and deserved to die because of his flaw. Duncanwas the King of England, and was murdered by MacBeth. He was murdered, becausein order for MacBeth to fulfill his plan and become king, Duncan would have todie. Duncans fatal flaw was that he was too trusting. For example, he thoughtthat none of his friends could really be enemies. If Duncan was more carefulabout his safety at MacBeths castle, he may have had a chance to survive. ButDuncans flaw, wasnt something so horrible that he should die. Most people needto trust each other more, and just because one person did, he shouldnt have todie. MacBeths former best friend, Banquo was also killed by MacBeth. Banquo waskilled, because he knew too much about the murder of Duncan. But that was nothis fatal flaw. Banquos fatal flaw was that although he knew that MacBethkilled Duncan, he really didnt do anything about it. There were manyopportunities where Banquo could tell someone such as MacDuff what he thoughtabout the murders. But Banquo didnt deserve death, just because he didnt actquickly in telling someone that MacBeth killed Duncan. Banquo knew that if hesaid anything, no one would believe him, and he would be executed. Lady MacBethis MacBeths wife. She is his coconspirator in killing Duncan. Although shehelps MacBeth get the courage to commit the murder, she isnt willing to do itherself. She uses the excuse that Duncan looked too much like her father. UnlikeMacBeth though, it is harder for Lady MacBeth to live with the fact that shehelped cause the murder of the king. And in the end, it makes her so crazy thatshe commits suicide. Whether or not Lady MacBeth deserved her fate is a trickyquestion. Although she did encourage MacBeth to murder Duncan, she feels regretfor her action. Also, she realized what she did was wrong. But in my opinion, she realized it a little too late, and Duncan was still dead so she did deserveher fate. MacBeth was the focus of the entire play, and thats why it was namedafter him. All of the problems start when he murders Duncan. He commits themurder because of his fatal flaw, he is too ambitious. If he wasnt so ambitiousand determined to be king, then he would never have killed Duncan. And ifMacBeth didnt kill Duncan none of the other characters would die. MacBethdeserved his fate more than any other characters in the play. He did many thingswrong. First he killed Duncan, then he killed Banquo. After that, MacBeth killedMacDuffs family. And worst of all, MacBeth disturbed the balance of nature. .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf , .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf .postImageUrl , .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf , .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf:hover , .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf:visited , .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf:active { border:0!important; } .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf:active , .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .uad19d9710a749fead31ab8b2b0b4bbbf:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: AMC Study Guide Essay Also, MacBeth didnt feel any remorse until he was faced with death. If MacBethjust waited for his time, he would have been king, and have had a chance toenjoy it. Every character that died in MacBeth had one fatal flaw. The firstThane of Cawdor was a traitor. Duncan was too trusting. Banquo didnt doanything about the knowledge he had. Lady MacBeth helped plot the murder ofDuncan. And MacBeth, destroyed the natural order and harmony of nature. But notall of the characters who died deserved to die because of their flaws. Duncanshouldnt have been punished for trusting someone, and Banquo would have saidsomething, but was waiting for the right time or some physical evidence. But ifMacBeth hadnt been so ambitious, none of the problems that occurred would have.
