Theres reason to revolutionise: Federal officials announced that births to American juvenileagers have hit a historic low. The new analysis by the National nub for Health Statistics found that the teen birth rate declined eighter percent, from 2007 to 2009. The current rate is 39.1 births per 1,000 teenagers from ages 15 to 19. But the issue continues to stick legs. One recent example is the teen pregnancy ace in Memphis when the casting call for the 16 and Pregnant program was released, 90 preteen women attempted and succeeded to become pregnant on purpose for a chance to be on the program. Teen pregnancy verse are going d experience around the United States, alone what kind of influence does reality television shows have? MTVs Teen Mom is a reality series documenting the lives of different teenage mothers and the struggles that come with the reality of being a teenager with a child. It is a spin-off of another MTV reality series titled 16 and Pregnant, which begins following the teen moms-to-be through the process of being pregnant. Teen Mom simply continues the documentary feature.
The statement surrounding these two shows poses an interesting question.
Is MTV glorifying teen pregnancy and ancestry by giving these teenagers their own television show? afterwards all, they are dealing with the challenges of raising children on limited finances and in less than ideal circumstance. The girls and their babies fathers have become celebrities among MTV viewers. Is MTV presentment teenagers everywhere Get pregnant and you too could have your own TV show? When they found out they were pregnant did they this instant think, Well, this is not ideal. But, hey, I can be on MTV instanter!? But when does it stop being an accurate portrait of girls who make unfortunate decisions and begin being a way to claim on television for young women and men?
